In less than three years since its founding, the HVTT Foundation has helped 24 underprivileged students build a better future—either through its own scholarships or through those awarded by other charities with donations from HVTTF and its board members—for a total value of $19,000 CAD

2025 - $9,760 CAD donated and awarded: Five donations to other charities - $7,530 CAD and two scholarships - $2,230 CAD

March 2025- We donated $2,900 (US$2,000) to Vietnam Education Society to sponsor underprivileged students selected by Pacific Link Foundation within its SEEDS scholarship program.  

March 2025- We also donated funds to the Vietnam Education Society, which awarded them to T., the business law student who had previously received a first-year scholarship directly from HVTT. This scholarship helped her cover tuition costs and purchase a much-needed motorbike, giving her the mobility to secure a better-paying and less physically demanding job.
With her financial worries eased, she is excelling in school and well-prepared for her second year.

March 2025- We donated $180 CAD to Children of Vietnam Benevolent Foundation to sponsor a scholarship within CVBF’s scholarship program.

July 2025- We awarded a scholarship to a Chinese language student in Lao Cai whose father passed away when she was 2 and her mother is suffering terminal kidney failure. The scholarship covers her tuition.

July 2025- We awarded a scholarship to an English language student in Da Nang. Her mother passed away when she was in Grade 10. Her father is in poor health and suffered an accident in 2023. She currently lives with her elderly grandmother and younger sister.
Th. dreams of becoming a teacher and finding a stable job to support her family. 
In 2023, we awarded her a scholarship to cover her first year’s living expenses and to purchase a computer.
In 2024, she tried to manage on her own but was unable to pay her second-semester tuition.
This year, HVTT Foundation is helping her pay off the overdue bill and her 2025–2026 tuition.

September 2025- We renewed our donation to the Vietnam Education Society to fund the 2025–2026 scholarship for T., a business law student who previously received a first-year scholarship directly from HVTT. That initial scholarship helped her cover tuition and living expenses. This donation was provided directly by our board members.

September 2025- We donated 20 million VND ($1,100 CAD) to the Children of Vietnam Benevolent Foundation to fund the 2025–2026 scholarship for 4 minority students from Quang Ngai. This donation was provided directly by our board members.

September 2025- We also donated $450 CAD to the Children of Vietnam Benevolent Foundation to fund a 2025-2026 scholarship for a student chosen by CVBF. This donation was provided directly by our board members.

2024 - Seven scholarships and one financial assistance for victim of natural disaster - $3,255

HVTT and its board members have provided scholarships and financial assistance to T., an orphan who must work three days a week, up to 11 hours a day in low-paying jobs—due to her lack of mobility, in order to support herself through economic law school.
Additionally, we are supporting her with English tutoring.

We supported >, a student in her first year of university by covering living expenses. She is doing well in her pedagogy studies  

We awarded 4 more scholarships to ethnic minority students in the Highlands of Quang Ngai Province. These scholarships often serve as the crucial deciding factor in whether these students pursue higher education or remain trapped in a cycle of economic hardship.

We awarded a supplementary scholarship to our recipient in Lao Cai and provided financial assistance to her family following severe floodings in the area of her hometown.    

2023 - Twelve scholarships - $5,820

We awarded 8 scholarships to ethnic minority students in the Highlands of Quang Ngai Province in 2023 (in 2 groups). These scholarships often serve as the crucial deciding factor in whether these students pursue higher education or remain trapped in a cycle of economic hardship.

With our support—through scholarships and assistance following the natural disasters in Vietnam in 2023 and 2024—this student has successfully completed her Chinese studies at Lao Cai Vocational School and has now secured a permanent job.

We supported this student in her first year of university by covering living expenses and funding the purchase of a computer. She managed independently during her second year, but her family has once again fallen into hardship, and she is reapplying for our scholarship.
She is studying English translation and interpretation and continues to excel academically despite her financial difficulties.

We typically award scholarships only to university or vocational college students, but we make exceptions for candidates in dire financial situations, like this young high school student.

We provided financial assistance to the Aldea de Niños Cristo Rey in Guayaquil, Ecuador, in response to the exceptional financial hardship it is facing.
